how else do we say this

Two years. Two years. Is there anything else left to say? Is there any other way to say it?

How else do we say this?

How else do we beg you to listen?

How else can we convince you, dear reader, you who’ve said for years that words are a weapon of violence, that the words you’re chanting are killing us?

How many dead Jews do you need to see in the West until you finally understand that these are not fringe incidents coming from your so-called human rights movement? That this doesn’t just represent your movement, but that this is the very essence of it?

How can we impress upon you that the slogans that you chant on your campus lawn and in the streets of New York City and London do not only incite violence, but encourage it and celebrate it?

How many of our synagogues do you need to burn before you stop accusing us of “playing the victim”?

How many rooftop snipers and armed security and police officers and metal detectors and bomb-sniffing dogs do you need to see outside of our institutions before you realize that it is serious?

How many Jewish families does your country need to hemorrhage before you realize that your so-called antizionism draws Jews to Israel, not away from it?

How many more lies will you tell until you finally understand that you cannot fool a people that carries with it 3000 years of history in our cells, in our bones?

How many more industries do you need to push those of us with even the most tenuous connections to Israel or Zionism out of before you realize that your behavior exactly mimics that of every single antisemite in history?

How much more terrorist propaganda will you see the media and governments and NGOs parrot without an ounce of criticism or discernment before you understand that you are not the counterculture? That you are not anti-establishment? That you are not only the establishment, but the oldest, most established establishment, one that’s been running for 2000 years and counting?

How much more blood do you need spilled before it finally clicks that every time you act as a loudspeaker for terrorists, our people die? That you are prolonging the war you claim to stand so fiercely against?

How many more impossible standards and absurd contradictions will you hold us to until you realize that the only Jew you will ever be satisfied with is the one that is okay with getting murdered?

How many more individuals will you boycott on the basis of their nationality or ethnicity alone before you see that you are actually just a xenophobe, an antisemite, and a racist?

How many causes will your movement’s Jew and Israel-hatred poison before you notice that the Jew-hatred is the movement?

How much longer will you stand there as politicians gaslight us when you incite against us and then offer us their empty platitudes, their “thoughts and prayers,” when your incitement materializes into violence?

How many more times will you compromise your alleged values before you realize that you’re being played?

When will you understand that as you’ve constructed an entire identity in opposition to Nazism, you’ve become not so different from the Nazis yourself?

And as for us: when is enough enough? Do we keep trying in vain to scrounge up allies? Do we continue shouting until our throats are hoarse when we know you aren’t listening? Or do we retreat back into our metaphorical ghettos and try to find safety only in each other?
